No Gi BJJ / Combat Submission Wrestling |

|
This approach was mad popular by "No Holds Barred" events such as the UFC, Pride, etc. The typical attire is a t-shirt or rashguard and shorts. The lack of useable handles tends to lead to a slippery, faster paced grappling session. This game replaces some of the gi techniques with leg attacks. Also covered in this approach are takedowns and takedown defense.
Both of these approaches have proven to be effective components of both sport and self defense toolboxes. Many ask "which is better?" It's not so much a matter of which is better, but rather, which is better for you? Both classes have great things to offer. The combination of the two will give you the best of both worlds.
The goal of this class is to provide a learning environment in which a student of any level can focus on developing those things which make the biggest difference between winning and losing; "the fundamentals". Utilizing the "I Method" of instruction and training, students will be provided with the perfect environment for building and strengthening their foundation in position, transition, submission, striking, and takedowns. The ultimate goal for this class is to help the student to develop depth (ability) of knowledge as opposed to width (technical knowledge).
