Jerry Wetzel has been training exclusively in reality-based combat for over 10 years. In 1999, he founded Centerline Gym; an organization dedicated exclusively to researching the realities of violence and developing tools and tactics to deal with them. He has appeared in magazines and numerous instructional videos.

Since he began training, Jerry has had the privilege of training with some of the world’s finest instructors. Among other achievements, he has received:

  • Jerry is an Elite Coach in the CMD®  Method and recognised with Silver Gloves by Rodney King. Jerry is the first coach Rodney has recognized in the United States.
  • Certified Full Instructor in Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino martial arts – From Paul Vunak     
  • Personal Defense Readiness Affiliate- Tony Blauer   
  • Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - Chris Haueter

Jerry Wetzel is dedicated to discovering the TRUTH in combat. Not the fantasy of combat, not the Hollywood image of combat, and not the ritual of combat. To do this, Jerry believes it is of utmost importance to take biological, psychological, emotional, and behavioral factors into account and then apply them to a resisting opponent under realistic conditions.

Former member of the IFL's CONDORS, Danny Suarez is a Braziian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt and an Instructor certified by legendary trainer and mixed martial artist Erik Paulson.
As a professional fighter, Danny brings an invaluable perspective to his coaching blending pure grappling arts with a mixed martial arts sensibility.

f your idea of an ideal training environment is one where you blend into a mass of strangers that your instructor can hardly keep track of then this is not the place for you. If, on the other hand, you want to train in a place where you can be a valued member of a team of individuals striving to help each other grow then come to the place, as the song goes, “…Where everybody knows your name…”
